Disana Organic Merino Wool Diaper Cover

Disana
$19.95 - $28.25
DS1003

This double-knit wool diaper cover is made from lovely, soft organic wool that is ideal for even the smallest babies with sensitive skin.  An excellent alternative to synthetic covers, wool soakers are naturally antibacterial and provide excellent moisture regulation.  Wool wicks moisture away from the skin and can absorb up to one third of its weight in moisture and return it to the environment. Once it is prepped and ready for use, you will have no leaks at all with this wool cover, making it an excellent choice for night time.

These covers can be used over any pre-fold or fitted cloth diaper, and the high knitted waistband provides a nice fit over any type of diaper, no matter how bulky or high-fitting the diaper is.  This soft ribbed waist band also keeps your baby's tummy and back warm and cozy throughout the night.  The thick double-knit wool is perfect for night time use.  Disana wool covers are wonderful for night time and once properly prepared (washed and lanolized), your baby should never have leak while wearing this cover.

Size/ Fit: These covers will shrink a bit after washing, so it's not a bad idea to size up.  The style of these covers are similar to our Engel double-knit nappy covers but have a slightly different shape. The legs on disana covers are a bit more snug than the Engel covers, which is nice for containing leaks, but do keep this in mind if your baby has chunkier legs.  Please see the size conversion chart below.

Made by disana, this wool cover is 100% organic virgin Merino wool.  This wool is finely crimped, does not itch and feels soft and cozy against baby's sensitive skin.

Made in Germany

Other Details:

Care:  This cover should be washed before using it on a baby for the first time.  Although it has been re-oiled by the manufacturer after processing, we recommend lanolizing the cover at least one time, and possibly twice, before using it to renew its ability to repel moisture.  If the soaker is leaking, lanolize again.  Your baby should be able to wear this all night without any leaks at all.  The wool will contain leaks better and better the more it is used as it becomes slightly more felted.  Wool does not soil easily and does not retain odors, so it does not need to be washed very frequently.

I got 8 diaper covers and the covers colors didn’t match, I got purple, and 2 soft pinks and 1 rose. The rose was more neutral and what I was looking for and wish I got two of them instead of the soft pink. The soft pink was more hot pink and way too bright. Both of these didn’t look like the picture. My baby isn’t born yet but I’m hoping they work well, because I plan on using them.

I really like this product but I just don’t understand the numeric sizing chart on littlespruceorganics.com. I tried looking online for what the numeric sizes meant and I really thought that I had figured it out, but I was way off. I ordered what I thought was the correct size and also one size up because I wasn’t sure which would fit my son, and they both turned out to be huge on him. I ordered them for my 15-month old and the larger size is even too big for my 4 year old! Why can’t the website just have a sizing chart that shows years or measurements? It doesn’t even give a description of what the numbers mean. I was so disappointed when they showed up because I was hoping to use them right away.

We just love these covers. Our toddler and baby are very comfortable in them. Hoping for some more colors to be back in stock to buy several more! Thanks for offering these, Little Spruce!
