$16.95 - $21.95
RE1003

These lovely wool knitted baby leggings are so lightweight and breathable that your little one can wear them any time of year.  Organic merino wool keeps babies warm during winter and cool during the warmer months of the year as well.  The leggings feature gentle waistlines and stretchy knitted cuffs that ensure a comfortable fit on your baby, and their relaxed fit allows for plenty of room for a cloth diaper underneath.  They are available in a variety of unique, vibrant colors and are made from certified organic, finely knitted merino wool.  Organic merino wool is ideal for sensitive newborn skin.

*Note:  These leggings are slightly too lightweight to be worn as thick wool longies over a cloth diaper for extended periods of time, but they are certainly sufficient for use as a lightweight daytime wool cover.  Please be sure to lanolize well if you plan on using them directly over a cloth diaper.

Made by Reläx (Reiff Strickwaren) of southwestern Germany, these leggings are made from 100% certified organic merino wool.  The wool comes from organically raised livestock (kbT certified), and sustainability is praciced in all steps of production by this family run business.

Made in Swabia, Germany.

Care:  Hand wash only, reshape and lay flat to dry.  Please see our wool care guide for more details on caring for wool.

These are just about the best price I could find for wool pants! I was too curious not to try. Top con: they have of course pilled up pretty heavily on my not-quite-yet-walker but they are helping boost our wool covers immensely. If we go a little longer in between diaper changes, we are still dry and cozy from the outside, which as baby is getting older has been more of a struggle with our wool covers. This on top of our typical diaper system is really doing the trick. They look and feel so cozy, the waistband gently hugs and rests all the way up under his armpits. I'm pretty sure I'm picking up another pair, leaving a review because there were no others! I got 86/92 for my average sized albiet cloth diapered 1 year old and there is definitely wiggle room on either end for the fit. I'm hopeful these will last us possibly into next winter.

I have two pairs of these pants, and although they are really warm and adorable, the quality of the wool isn't the best I've seen. They pill after only a few wears, and I've spent a ton of time picking off tiny balls of wool fuzz. They don't look great after owning for 6 months, but they're darn warm, stretchy, and all-purpose fall/winter pants.

These seem to run big. I bought the 12-24 mos size for my five-month-old thinking that I'd just roll the arms and legs. But they were just way too big and stretchy for that. So, I kept the larger size and bought these pants in the 6-12 mos size. They are still a bit big on my now-6-month-old daughter, but they are still lovely. We are a cloth-diapering family but we are using disposables at the moment, which probably makes a big difference in fit for these pants. Even though these (and all wool clothing items) are really expensive compared to cotton baby clothes, I think they are worth it because my kids wear them for several days at a time and they are still clean and smell good. Sometimes some spit-up gets on the wool and I just scrape it off after it dries -- and it's like it never happened. I know it sounds like I am super lazy not to bathe the kids every day and change their clothes twice a day, but I have three kids and two of them are in diapers and not yet walking, so I'm in just trying to keep everyone alive and not stinky if I can help it. So, that's why I love the wool! Less laundry and we don't stink =)
