I just purchased my third consecutive pair of these wonderful pants (beginning with the smallest size and sizing up each time my son outgrows them). As a baby/toddler these pants were wonderful for winter play--he could actually move around in them unlike swishy + stiff snow pants, and he was always warm. Now that he's a student at an outdoor school (we live in upstate New York, so it gets very cold), he wears them all winter on top of a pair of merino longjohns and beneath a pair of rain pants. He is comfortable, limber, and often doesn't take off his wool overalls when he comes home and is indoors where it is quite warm. He seems to be comfortable in them at quite literally any temperature!

My son just turned 4 and has always been at the top tier for height and weight. I ordered the size 6-8 for him hoping it would last him a few years. I roll the legs inside about halfway and it fits him perfectly. They are not falling off and there is definitely room to grow for the next few years. If I know he is going to be doing some messy mud play outside, then I'll just put some size 5 or 6 sweatpants that I don't mind being ruined over the wool overalls to keep to wool mud free. He is comfortable and plays for a long time in them with no complaints of being too hot or cold. I have raised him with a few wool clothing pieces and bedding and love how he is always a comfortable temperature. These overalls are made well and look forward to seeing how they age.
