Product Description

These soft, cozy wool leggings are so nice to have all year round.  These fine ribbed knit leggings make wonderful pajama bottoms at night time throughout the year.   The leggings will keep dampness away from your baby's skin, keeping your baby warm and dry throughout the night.  On warm summer nights, you can still use these leggings and they will keep your baby's temperature consistent, since merino wool is so breathable.  During the winter, your baby can wear these both day and night.  We love these leggings for chilly winter days for both at home and for outdoors- they keep our baby's legs warm and cozy while playing on cold hardwood floors or while playing outside on chilly days.

These leggings can also be worn directly over a cloth diaper as a cloth diaper cover during the day, but because they are thinner than the disana wool diaper cover, they are not designed to be worn for long periods of time or at night time.  They work well as a lightweight cover for occasions when you plan on changing your baby frequently and are also great if you practice EC and need something that lets you know right away when your baby is wet.  Please note that you will need to use a snug fitted diaper if you plan to use these leggings as a diaper cover, because the leggings have a fairly loose fit around the diaper area.

Made by disana, these leggings are 100% organic virgin Merino wool.  This wool is finely crimped, does not itch and feels soft and cozy against baby's sensitive skin.

Made in Germany

Other Details:

Care:  Hand wash only and lay flat to dry.  These leggings should be washed before using it on a baby for the first time.  If you plan to use these directly over a cloth diaper, we recommend lanolizing the leggings at least one time, and possibly twice, before using it to renew its ability to repel moisture.  If the leggings are leaking, lanolize again.  The wool will contain leaks better and better the more it is used as it becomes slightly more felted.  Wool does not soil easily and does not retain odors, so it does not need to be washed very frequently. Please refer to our Wool Care guide for more details, and don't forget your wool care products

Sizing:  We have found that these leggings run slightly large (long in the legs), so we don't recommend sizing up.  However, since every baby is different, this may not be true for every baby.  If the leggings are too big, you can always roll up the legs a few times so they aren't too long.  If you need specific measurements, please contact us and we will be happy to provide measurements for you!

  1. Great for a diaper fee baby

Posted by Kathey M. on 4th Apr 2013

We use these pants without a diaper underneath for our son as we practice EC and the wool stays warm if they do get a little wet and they dry quickly. They are also super easy to take on and off...he actually was able to take them down by himself with his feet at 8 months. As it gets warmer and he crawls around the house more, we brought back out his smaller ones (0-3mos) for use as shorts so he can get some traction with his knees on the floor and they still fit great around his waist. The only complaint I have is that they collect a lot of pet hair and when he is outside, pine needles can go right through them scratching him. Other than that, they clean off really easy with a few brushes of the hand. When it's really warm, I alternate with Engel's thin wool leggings.

  2. awesome winter pants

Posted by cheri on 6th Feb 2013

I just bought my daughter her second pair. we love these.
for size info, she is 36.5" with long legs, and she still wears her 86/92 (comes right to her ankles) and we roll the 98/104 either at the ankles or the waist. the only signs of wear are a little pilling, which is easily removed with a sweater comb. excellent product.

  3. Soft and well made

Posted by Unknown on 5th Feb 2013

My husband and I are big fans of wool, so it was an easy choice to give our baby wool, too. These leggings are lovely--soft and stretchy. Even softer after a wool wash and lanolin soak. Looking forward to seeing them on our baby (due in a few weeks)!

  4. Great everyday longies

Posted by krystal on 26th Nov 2012

I use these as 1 of 3 longies in my son's rotation so they are used as a diaper cover over fitted diapers (I do change him everytime he potty's). They do feel a little damp (I did lanolize them) after he pees but I like that so I know he went. They are soft and will last a long time. I got the 74/80 in September and they are still big on my 9 mo, 16 lb, medium built boy. Plenty of room in the bottom and length (I probably fold the legs up 2-3 inches). They are a great price and quality for every day casual wear and mid-atlantic somewhat mild winters.

  5. Handsome

Posted by Unknown on 25th Nov 2012

These handsome knit leggings are soft, warm and great for layering. We used them today in combination with the boiled wool jacket and my toddler was cozy and warm. I layered them over leggings and the jacket with a wool sweater for our extended walk and time at the playground, the outdoor temperature being mid- 30's.
    very pleased Mom

  6. The best woolies for babes!

Posted by Unknown on 19th Nov 2012

This is the second pair i've bought for my son and they are amazingly soft and stretchy. They run BIG so they seem to fit him forever. Disana's quality in their products is invaluable. They can work as a longie diaper cover or just as pants. My 3 year old wants to wear his day and night!

  7. Nice leggings

Posted by Unknown on 7th Nov 2012

I really like these leggings- they are a day weight so I wouldn't use them overnight but they are great during the day with an absorbant fitted or if you like me an use pockets out an about these are perfect over pockets too!

  8. Fantastic!

Posted by Tina on 6th Nov 2012

These pants are wonderfully warm for the winter months! Great colors too. My daughter has worn hers for almost a year so they are worth the money. We got the 12 month size, and she wore them from 6 months on with the legs rolled up. I am sure they will fit through another year.

She is 16 months and 23 lbs and tall for her age. They work great with a cloth diaper too.

  9. Gasp! Buy these pants!

Posted by Unknown on 18th Oct 2012

These are amazing. They are really cute, they look better and higher quality in person than in the photo. The legs are sort of tapered and it's easy to roll them up so feel free to buy big and let your baby grow into them. We bought the 110/116 size for our 30 lb., tall 19 mos.old (he is as tall as most 2.5 year olds). They are BIG on him but they stay up and we roll up the legs. I think he will wear them until he is 3 or 4, no joke. They are really soft, he seems really comfy in them, running around the house, etc. Great for PJ bottoms or pants. Plenty of room for cloth diaper & cover.

  10. Great for lounging around, even nighttime

Posted by Ashley on 14th Oct 2012

These are great pants! They fit a bit big but are so easy to roll up and the big fat cloth diaper butt helps to keep the waist held up. Although they fit big, they do not look strange. We have gotten lots of compliments while wearing these pants out. I dont recommend wearing them to a playground though, these are more for relaxed days or quick out and about trips, not hardcore playing. They are very soft and well made. The only problem you will have with these is trying to decide which color you want.
