These soft, lightweight shorts style underwear for women are made from a blend of 55% certified organic pure new merino wool and 45% organic cotton. 

Wool/silk underwear are great for year-round wear because of the natural, temperature regulating properties of both wool and silk.  The wool/silk combination offers the perfect blend of softness, warmth and breathability that makes an excellent base layer during the winter and is also nice on its own for warmer weather.   The wool/silk blend is also nice for active outdoor sports, since both wool and silk help move sweat away from your body.   Wool is highly absorbent and will absorb moisture and sweat, and silk absorbs some moisture as well and is insulating in cooler weather.  Wool is naturally antibacterial, making it excellent for active sports.      

This garment is certified organic by the International Association of the Natural Textile Industry (IVN) and meets the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).   Living Crafts' organic wool comes from Australian merino sheep wool and is produced in accordance with organically certified dynamic farming- it is shorn by hand and processed without the use of chemicals. The mulberry silk grown in India is blended with the natural wool at a later stage.  All fabric dyes are made without heavy metals or formaldehydes.

Care:  Machine-washable at 86° F (30°C) on a wool cycle with wool-safe detergents.  Reshape and lay flat to dry.
