Traditional Fit prefold cloth diapers can be secured to baby with diaper pins, Snappi Fasteners or placed in diaper cover and trifolded (sides folded over the middle) with the extra length then folded over in front or back for additional absorbency. See the first 2 pictures below. Many additional ways of folding these diapers can be found such as the angel wing fold, the bikini twist and others. These versitile work horses have been the standard since prefold diapers replace flat diapers in the late 1960's.
Care: Because this diaper is made from organic, unbleached cotton, it must be washed at least 3-5 times before using on a baby. This process will remove the oils naturally found in organic unbleached cotton, and it is necessary to allow the diapers to become fully absorbent. To test the diapers to see whether or not they are ready for use, make a pocket in the diaper and slowly pour 1/2 cup of water into the diaper. If the cloth absorbs the water right away, they are ready to use! If the liquid pools and does not soak in fairly quickly, wash them again.
