Pololo shoes have flexible soles, and the children's shoes in this collection are flexible but have more robust soles to handle the activity of older children.
They are excellent for outdoor wear and hard play.
The Sol sneakers have velcro closures so young children can easily put on their own shoes.
The inner sole is removable, which enables size measurements to be made directly on the foot and verified when the shoes are worn.
The rubber outer sole is flexible and wonderfully light, making it especially suitable for young children who enjoy playing, jumping and running.
Pololo shoes are based on four principles: excellent handicraft, charming design, production in Germany, and social & ecological accountability. Each model is a distinct piece of craftsmanship. Leather, one of the world’s oldest textile materials, is tanned animal skin – a natural product! It gives us breathable, steam-permeable and skin-friendly protection from the cold, from moisture and from foot injuries.
POLOLOS retain these natural qualities. Only renewable vegetable materials are used for the tanning of the leather and lambskin used, such as the Valonea oak or the Tara fruit.
POLOLO is an active member of the Internationaler Verband für Naturtextilien (IVN). The company consistently follows the exacting guidelines of the IVN certificate for natural leather (“Naturleder”) that applies the strictest of requirements concerning contaminants content and manufacturing conditions, and prohibits the use of chrome-tanned leather. POLOLO only works with partners and suppliers who fulfill these obligations. Pololo shoes are compostable, and unnecessary packaging is avoided.
