An essential item during the first few weeks of breastfeeding a newborn, cotton nursing pads are an excellent alternative to disposable pads.   Disana's soft, snugly organic cotton is mild and cooling to the skin.  Several layers of the cotton fabric absorb the liquid and offer sure protection against leakage.  The easy care material is machine washable.  We recommend at least 2 pairs of nursing pads so that you have an extra pair available while one pair is being washed.  These nursing pads are available in two sizes (shown below)
