This wool cover is a wrap style wool cover that is made from the same high quality organic wool that Disana is known for. The difference between this wool and the wool used in the Disana wool soakers is that this cover is made from boiled wool, which is a very unique natural fabric. The wool has been worked into a soft, fleecy material that absorbs all excess moisture. The practical shape of this cover makes it easy to put on your baby, and the soft wide velcro fasteners allow for an adjustable fit.
This cover is nice because there is no elastic at all around the legs or waist; instead, the cover features stretchy, ribbed wool around the legs and waist that is soft and comfortable against your baby's skin. The wide knitted waistband helps contain leaks as well. The cover has an extra wool layer sewn into the center, so it is designed to absorb even more moisture. This cover works very well, particularly for nights or naps; the boiled wool makes it virtually bulletproof and its high rise make it perfect for times when your baby is lying down. This cover is a great choice for diapers that also have a high rise because of its high coverage.
More about boiled wool: Boiled wool is soft and light, so it is very comfortable for babies to wear. Boiled wool also protects against cold, is almost entirely windproof, and balances hot and cold temperatures. When wool is boiled, thousands of tiny air bubbles are trapped in by the material, forming an entirely natural barrier against hot and cold temperatures. The result is a fabric that keeps your baby snug and dry while letting your baby's skin breathe.
Size/ Fit: We have found that this wool cover runs very large, especially with the larger sizes (86/92 and 98/104), so we do not recommend sizing up. Pleaes let us know if you need specific measurements!
Made in Germany
Care: Wool should always be washed by hand. This cover should be washed before using it on a baby for the first time. Although it has been re-oiled by the manufacturer after processing, we recommend lanolizing the cover at least one time, and possibly twice, before using it to renew its ability to repel moisture. If the soaker is leaking, lanolize again. Your baby should be able to wear this all night without any leaks at all. The wool will contain leaks better and better the more it is used as it becomes slightly more felted. Wool does not soil easily and does not retain odors, so it does not need to be washed very frequently. Please refer to our Wool Care guide for more details, and don't forget your wool care products.

If I was rating this on looks alone, it would score a 5. Beautiful, simplistic, love it. Rating it on how well it contains leaks however only a four. My 3mo baby has skinny thighs, so it's hard to get a good fit around his legs, therefor pee tends to leak out sides. I Doubt this is a fault of the cover that everyone would have a problem with though. Even so, I use this cover ALL the time, I just hve to be aware to make sure leg area is secure, and use a more absorbent fitted underneath. All in all I love this cover and will be getting more. I bought two and have not used any of my traditional pul, synthetic covers since! ( I would not use this as an overnight, I use disana soaker pants and they work amazingly well! )

the wool is awesome (i use almost all wool covers), but this cover disappoints.
i got it for nighttime use, and since we just use prefolds i was looking for something other than a daytime wool cover with a soaker on top. this seemed like it'd be perfect.
first, the cover is HUGE. my daughter fits perfectly in most 86/92 size clothing/covers (25#, 31"). this cover is so big we had to use her daytime cover anyway just to keep the diaper in place. i think she could easily gain 10# before this cover fits snugly, and she may not even be in diapers anymore.
second, the velcro strips on the sides that wrap around are too long so that scratchy velcro ends fold up (since it's got nothing to stick to), scratching baby belly and thighs. it also scratched me since we sleep together. i managed to pinch the velcro in the middle so the edges layed flat, but the velcro lumps sticking up still scratched me (but at least baby was good).
third, the legs are not snug (this may be due to how large the cover is, but the design does not seem like it could make snug leg holes) so without another cover underneath, i can imagine pee just pouring out. i have not tested this theory . . .
i love disana and am disappointed this beautiful cover is relegated to last choice backup status.

I bought my disana wool cover used, but non the less , love it. I have LOTS of wool. I consider myself a wool-a-holic... this was the first wool wrap cover I used and I was very skeptical but loved it the first day we used it, and so does my husband. its soft and very stretchy... I used a 6-12 mth size on my 3 month old, its a tad bulky BUT it is a generous cover over her diaper so I am happy with that. I used wool at night on her also. it is great! I was very surprised the first night using a wool wrap vs. PUL wrap how it worked. I would recommend this cover to anyone that is not sure, this is sure to please. after a night of use I take it off and air the cover out and its ready for the next evening. WONDERFUL!
